when bloggers meet...

meet elaini. the most beautiful, sweet, godly, spunky girl i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. she's my best friend from across the country and this summer i had the amazing opportunity of flying from sea to shining sea (aka virginia to portland) and spend a few weeks with this gal.

because we're still experiencing a few technical difficulties with our computer back home, the next few posts will be coming from me (rachel) and elaini! hannah will be back really soon and we can't wait to get together again. (because sisters are the best kind of friends)

until then, i'll be enjoying this sweet girl's company! eating ice cream, walking in the park, and vintage shopping to our hearts' content...

i graduated high school last month. and it was such a huge celebration, with all my friends and family there with me, looking forward to what God has in store for my future.

now that i'm finished with school and looking forward to what might come next, i just have to take a few minutes to laugh and spin and really just enjoy this new phase of life. it's a celebration.

do you ever have days where your computer crashes, you lose all your editing software, and you find out it will be over two weeks until you get it back? you have? great. now i feel a whole lot less mad about the predicament i am in right now.

i don't have a computer. i can't edit any photos. and i'm not sure when i'll be getting it back. but until then, i shall do my best to find a few old photoshoots to post, so that you all have something to look at. and i promise that the day i get my computer back i will edit all our outfit photos and be back to our normal schedule.

hannah turned "sweet sixteen" yesterday. and how did we celebrate? a photoshoot in the woods, complete with a vintage gown and vibrant greenery. a disney princess marathon. and a whole lot of icing.

we're bad bloggers. we've already realized this. it's not because we fail to dress cutely every now and then, or because we lead busy lives. how could you believe either of these false accusations?? the reality is, we get distracted. by ice cream. and shopping.

and then we get back on track. and we mix some fabulous patterns, take pictures, and post them for you to see and admire. because we love you guys more than we love having our own lives.

sorry we've been a bit absent lately. we've been busy doing other important things--like drinking milkshakes. and twirling around in vintage dresses. what? it happens!
