there's just something about dead peoples' clothes. not sure if it's the colors, cuts, or slightly mothy smell. maybe a combination of all three. whatever the case, i'm always on the hunt for new vintage boutiques, etsy shops, and thrift stores.
this is our local vintage store, and it makes my heart beat madly. i bought this amazing pink gown here, as well as half a dozen other vintage treasures that are sure to be featured soon.
top - bcbg girls, pants - citizens of humanity (via ebay), shoes - j. crew, earrings - papaya
okay, question time: we loved the print and colors of this vintage maxi dress from the 60's. to buy, or not to buy??? what do you think?

I love all the vintage clothing, but - to be honest - old, used clothing really creeps me out; but now you've gotten me really curious about vintage shops, so perhaps I'll look in one sometime... I just might have to find out if they have any around here. :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the colors of that dress is really pretty! I say buy - but what does the whole dress look like? :)
I always send my vintage out for dry cleaning or give it a good run through the washing machine just to be safe! And it's a beautiful maxi dress! I'll have to go back and get a photo of it on.

The dress? Fantabulous. Buy. Now.
ReplyDeleteAnd what, if I might ask, is the name of this amazing shop? I live in the central Virginia region and would love to plan a trip to this treasure trove!
It's "Everything Vintage Co" and here's the Facebook page for it: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Everything-Vintage-Co/233443670009106?fref=ts
